northgard stuck on waiting for server

Today I just had the most frustrating thing happen when I joined a match, it took 5 complete minutes to join and when it did I was not able to move my units as they would just stand there unresponsive to my commands, the game was still going because I was able to hear soundcues of things from other players but still I was stuck unable to do anything.
